NYFW Street Style – Elegant in Black
Every time I look at this picture, I’m reminded of the Chinese mandarin robes that all the men wore in Chinese movies/shows set in the Chinese dynasties, even though there aren’t really any identical components between the two. Does anyone else get the same vibe? Or is it just because I grew up watching Chinese shows set in Ancient China?
Wow, you see a lot of interesting outfits in NYC.. lol i love it!
I did not grow up watching Chinese shows set in ancient China, (though sounds like a great way to grow up!) and I get exactly the same vibe– like he has been transplanted from an ancient dynasty onto an NYC street. I love the outfit!! and I do love the fact that he is wearing it– which is a whole other thing.
Haha, I’m glad that I’m not the only one that gets the vibe! And that’s the brilliant thing about New York, people aren’t afraid to dress up in whatever is fashionable for them.
