Still finishing up the wedding photos, so y’all are still stuck with looking at baby pictures.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was the driving itself (excluding the 4+ hours stuck in traffic on the way back). It was refreshing to be out of the city and seeing stretches of clear skies – and stars.
On the drive down, we drove into a flash rain-shower that temporarily turned a bright and sunny day into…well, you can see for yourself.
(Started editing the wedding prep pictures just now, so I’m just about 1/3rd of the way into all the pictures. The bride & groom will get the first peek at everything, so I probably won’t upload anything wedding-related till later this week!)
Warning: Pictures of cute children incoming, may cause excessive ooohing.
A few things that I’ve learned so far with my D800:
I finally got my D800 last Monday, and although I don’t even have a real FX lens for it yet (next purchase on the list), the results I got with my 35mm 1.8 DX lens has been amazing.
These are some pictures from my first photoshoot with my new camera (unorthodox headshots for Kyle), and hopefully the first of many to come!
(I also shot Erinann & Drew’s wedding last Saturday with the D800 – you might remember them from the Central Park shoot I did a while ago – so expect to be flooded with pictures from that trip for at least a week or so!)
