Pennsylvania Wedding Roadtrip – Part I

Warning: Pictures of cute children incoming, may cause excessive ooohing.

A few things that I’ve learned so far with my D800:

  1. The sharpness of focus up close is breathtaking – if I can get the perfect focus. The number of pictures with soft focus I get at close range with my 35mm has also been breathtaking.
  2. I’ve vastly underestimated the task of editing about 2,000 pictures – especially since they’re about 200 MB each. I haven’t even finished converting all the pictures from RAW yet (because LR still isn’t compatible with the D800 raw files).
  3. Which means that I definitely won’t be able to finish editing the pictures till this weekend. And that’s another first, since my turnaround time with my D80 was literally hours (I finished editing the 700 or so NYFW pictures within 3 hours).
C’est la vie.
